The history of the Swiss watchmakers Baume & Mercier began as early as 1830. Long before the company was actually founded, the brothers Louis-Victor and Célestin Baume dedicated themselves to watchmaking. Under the name "Frères Baume" their first company quickly made a name for itself and expanded abroad - including to London. At that time, the watches were particularly known for their unusually precise accuracy, which even won it several awards. Just under a century later, William Baume founded the company "Baume et Mercier" together with Paul Mercier in Geneva. In the 1920s, the company was strongly committed to the emancipation of women and, in the same breath, published numerous timepieces for women. Baume & Mercier specialized in the production of wristwatches early on, today they offer affordable models in the luxury segment.

The timepieces in this series captivate with their urban and at the same time classic design, which has found the perfect balance between modernity and tradition. The timeless look of the Baume & Mercier Clifton series ensures that the models will fascinate generations. Hampton Collection
